About White Pine

Our Mission

White Pine Technology Solutions was built on a simple idea: local businesses deserve the same level of protection, strategy, and care that major enterprises receive — without the complexity, cost, or corporate distance.

We are a seasoned group of cybersecurity professionals who were tired of sacrificing what matters most to us: family. So we seized the opportunity to venture out and build our own firm.

After more than two decades designing secure systems for the Department of Defense, multinational energy companies, and some of the world’s largest financial institutions — and working countless hours — the decision was a no‑brainer.

The name White Pine isn’t just a brand — it’s a reflection of our roots. The White Pine is Michigan’s state tree: strong, resilient, and deeply connected to the landscape we love. We’ve spent countless hours exploring the outdoors across this state, and that same appreciation for strength, clarity, and reliability guides the way we approach technology.

When you choose White Pine Technology Solutions, you’re choosing:

  • Enterprise‑level cybersecurity baked into every decision

  • A partner who understands both high‑stakes environments and local business realities

  • Clear communication, practical solutions, and long‑term thinking

  • A commitment to strengthening and protecting our community

And yes — if you want a team that can fix your systems and point you toward a great trail, a quiet lake, or a weekend adventure in the Upper Peninsula, you’ve found the right people. Technology doesn’t have to feel cold or complicated. With the right partner, it can feel as grounded and dependable as the forests that inspired this company’s name.

White Pine Technology Solutions exists to help Michigan businesses thrive — securely, confidently, and with a personal touch you won’t find anywhere else.

About the Owner

Let me start by introducing myself and how I got to where I am today — finally doing what I’ve always enjoyed, but on my terms and without it interfering with my family time, which is most important to me.

Born and raised in Michigan is something I say with pride. I grew up on the dirt roads of Armada and later moved to the pothole‑ridden streets of Royal Oak just before high school.

I purchased my first computer in the ’90s and, due to my curiosity about all thing’s tech, promptly broke it. It was an Acer Aspire — hunter/teal green. Remember that phase in the ’90s when everything was green? From that moment on, I was on the phone with support, running commands, replacing hard drives and modems. I started building computers at an early age. I even sold Compaq computers at RadioShack. Remember Compaq? Remember RadioShack?

Those experiences sparked even more curiosity, and with all the browser toolbar viruses back then (my grandmother was the worst — so many viruses!), I knew cybersecurity was going to be incredibly important in the future.

My wife is a Registered Nurse and understands the importance of keeping private data private and information secure. We have three quickly growing boys in elementary school. If you have kids, you know how scary and insecure the online world can be today.

More and more people are trying to scam hardworking businesses and families. It’s stressful and time‑consuming. Let me take that burden off your back so I can handle your technology needs — giving you one less thing to worry about and more time for family or whatever you enjoy.

Starting my own firm allows me to take care of clients the way I would want to be treated. It also gives me the freedom to enjoy this beautiful state we live in.
